Managing Director, Portfolio Management
Bill Enszer is a managing director of portfolio management at Salient and oversees Salient’s private markets team.
Bill has over 15 years of experience evaluating and investing in external investment managers. He works with Salient’s portfolio management teams to refine investment themes and processes, develop new investment strategies and adapt to a constantly evolving investment landscape. Bill also manages Salient’s private markets team, which leads the firm’s efforts on the sourcing, evaluation and due diligence of investments managed by external teams. Bill also serves as the portfolio manager of several multi-manager portfolios, including a co-investment strategy.
Prior to joining Salient in 2010, Bill was a vice president of investments and member of the investment committee of a Houston-based wealth management and alternative investments firm. During his five-year tenure, Bill developed and directed their manager research and due diligence processes and assisted in the construction and management of the firm’s three fund of hedge funds. Bill started his career at ExxonMobil, where he was a financial analyst and auditor for five years.
Bill earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance and economics from Baylor University and an MBA, Beta Gamma Sigma, from Tulane University’s A.B. Freeman School of Business.
