John E. Price
Mr. Price is the Chief Financial Officer for Salient Partners, L.P., Salient Trust Co., LTA and for the firm’s investment funds where he also serves as the Treasurer. He is a Partner at the firm and has over 19 years of finance, accounting and investing experience.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Price assisted in the establishment of a family office and private investment holding company to manage the affairs and investments for a high net worth Texas family. Mr. Price was involved in all facets of management and operations including accounting, finance, investments and risk management.
Mr. Price was previously employed with Andersen, L.L.P., where he was a Manager in the Assurance and Business Advisory Services department. He started his career as an analyst and then later became a broker for a commercial insurance wholesaler.
He earned his undergraduate degree in accounting from Texas Christian University, where he graduated summa cum laude. He obtained his masters degree in the Executive MBA Program at Rice University, where he graduated with honors.
Mr. Price is a licensed certified public accountant, and is a member of the Texas Society for Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute for Certified Public Accountants.
