Remembering Andrew Linbeck

We lost a close friend and colleague, Andrew Linbeck, on November 8, 2017. He passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side.

Andrew contributed significantly to the establishment and development of Salient. Before co-founding Salient in 2002, Andrew was a partner and executive officer at The Redstone Companies, L.P., a Houston-based investment firm. Prior to that, he served as senior vice president in the Private Wealth Management Group at PaineWebber, Inc. Andrew began his career in financial services at Kidder Peabody in 1987. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame, and later graduated from the executive management program at the Jones School of Business at Rice University.

Andrew was a man of faith and his priorities were simple: Andrew put family above all else. He believed that if we put a client’s best interests first, then everyone would succeed, and that the primary benefit of being in business was to “turn money into memories.”

Andrew was deeply involved in his community and selflessly gave his time, energy and resources to many people and organizations in the Houston area.

Andrew is survived by his wife, Shanna, and their three daughters, Savanna, Miranda and Danielle.

An obituary for Andrew Linbeck was published on November 12, 2017. Contributions in Andrew’s memory may be sent to support the Myotonic Dystrophy Fund through either the Greater Houston Community Foundation or National Christian Foundation or The Margil House of Studies (more information below).

With gratitude and many thanks,

The Salient Team
