Robert M. MacAskie is the vice president of acquisitions & finance at Zarvona Energy LLC.
From 2007 to 2012, Rob was employed by ExxonMobil, where he held a variety of positions in development planning and reservoir engineering focusing on economic analysis, field surveillance, project planning and development, opportunity generation, and reserves reporting. Rob was recognized as an expert in economic modeling and petroleum fiscal systems and held leadership positions in both ExxonMobil Development & Production companies while on assignments in the United States, Europe, and the Middle East. Most recently, Rob was dual located in Dubai, UAE and Basra, Iraq as a reservoir engineering technical advisor for the West Qurna I oilfield in southern Iraq.
Rob received a BSE in operations research and financial engineering from Princeton University in 2005, and a master’s in petroleum engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in 2007. During his tenure at ExxonMobil, Rob also received an MBA with honors from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania as a member of the executive class of 2011.
